Blood Command - Ghostclocks

Ghostclocks by Blood Command

For Fans Of: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pretty Girls Make Graves, One of Norway's most hyped new bands, ready for the world! Coming out of the suburbs of Bergen on the west coast of Norway, Blood Command has an ambition when it comes to sound and message that goes far beyond the seven mountains that fence in their hometown. Where Blood Command comes from, you are expected to bow your head to the grey clouds of tradition and look at your shoes when you play music. Blood Command chooses not to - they are addressing the world with their debut, Ghostclocks, on Fysisk Format. Ghostclocks is a debut of volcanic dimensions, the consequence of four men and a woman in front that has been silently constructing a panoramic mix of hardcore and classic rock. So far they’ve been keeping it to themselves, but on November the 1st, lava-like sing-along choruses and thick smoking riffs are going to bury what once was. Whether it is hair metal bands or spastic hardcore like Blood Brothers, there’s a long standing tradition for male singers aiming at female vocal qualities. Nevertheless, being a woman fronting a hard-hitting band like Blood Brothers is no easy task. More than once has Blood Command’s singer and front person Silje Tombre entered the stage, seeing nothing but crossed arms and prejudice. Cleary, with a woman in front, Blood Command must be sell-out! But the second Silje bursts out the gut screaming melodies of the starting track; all prejudice is put to shame.
