First of all, this looks mint. You get a CD in a hessian sleeve wrapped in typed paper sleeve all stringed up. Inside there's bits of paper and all sorts and there's even a few cloves chucked in so it smells nice. So it's not just about the ears. It's a joint release between Handstitched and Fluid Audio and if you missed the lst Hessien CD then it's a collaborative electro acoustic jobbie between Tim Martin (Maps & Diagrams) and an Aussie sound artist called Charles Sage. It's kinda like 2 EP's on one CD. You get Obelisk which is 4 tracks of electro acoustic textured ambience which is the usual high quality goodness you'd expect. Closely followed by Stelea which is 4 tracks remixes by Solo Andata, Jasper TX, Zeleinople and Konntinent. It's mint as well! Fans of (interesting) ambient music and textured drone music will lap this up. There's some gorgeous moments on it as the Jasper TX mix proves. It's meltingly lovely. Limited to 200 copies for the world and we've got a handful and then it's gone!
