Negative Approach - 10-Song EP

10-Song EP by Negative Approach

4...according to our on Thu 21 Oct, 2010.

Negative Approach are probably one of the best hardcore bands of all time. Originally released back 1982 by Touch And Go (who are also responsible for this remastered repressing) this 10 track self-titled EP is a classic document of the band in their infancy. Formed in Detroit in 1981 after witnessing a Black Flag/Necros show NA went on to be one of the most influential and revered of the early 80's hardcore bands and for obvious reasons. NA are everything a good hardcore band should be; energetic, young, angry and completely unpretentious. Now, I know you Norman lot don't have much love for hardcore punk rock but in this case it's at least worth showing a bit of respect. Ten tracks on a 7" playing at 45rpm!! That's punk rock value for money that can't be denied. Also, for all you collector nerds out there, this one goes for a fucking small fortune online as the initial pressing was tiny small...so it's OK, you can buy it now and if you don't like it you can sell it to some other nerd. NA rule!!!
