Seasoned Coil fanatics will no doubt be familiar with the names Ossian Brown and Stephen Thrower who were early collaboraters with Balance and Sleazy. Cyclobe also did an album with Nurse With Wound which I think is the last thing they (Cyclobe) released. This sounds like it would eat me up, at home, late at night, evoking an alternate universe in my mind. As it stands the sounds of the daily office grind are smothering it somewhat. It oozes that majestic, creepy, magickal sound beloved of prime Coil but certainly stands out on it's own with elegant flourishes of hurdy gurdy, piano, cello and pipes. Some marvellous synthesizer action too from Thighpaulsandra. Startling front cover artwork by Fred Tomaselli and design by Val Denham. It's a no brainer! Recommended.
