"Hey man, come in...we're having a hoedown..Im down...but I'm not a hoe..." I quite like this record. Its traditional country/folk that makes you want to grab the nearest Southern Belle and swing her round at a barn dance. Then after 4 cups of moonshine you might stumble into a pigsty, convinced that Bessie the Angeln Saddleback is the greatest looking woman ever and what do you know, three hours later you wake up to find you've made a pig happy, yet disgraced yourself. Oh well you know the saying, pigs just wanna have fun. This record does sound amazingly rustic and traditional. There is even a washboard thrown into the mix. This is music that sounds like its been made in a different age and it excellent. I'm off to smack ma wife in the eye...varmints ect..

This one’s a beauty. The last time the Black Twigs toured the UK was just prior to the tragic passing of the late, great Jack Rose. The Twigs provided epic backing on several tours with Jack, and it’s an honour that they came calling to The GPS for a tour 45 this time round. The band release their incredible full length “Ironto Special” shortly for Thrill jockey.

Their UK tour this year is partly in collaboration with the mighty Charlie Parr. From Duluth, Minnesota, Charlie’s incredible (resonator) guitar playing and picking, in accompaniment with his beautifully timeless blues led songwriting make this a dream pairing and this single won’t hang around long. pressing of 400 in silver hammer fine art sleeves.
