This was originally released way back in 1981 and was a cassette available only from Maurizio himself. It's nice that this has become available once again during this current resussation of the tape format. It sounds gloriouslly bleak like a trip into a darkend metallic cavern with robotic birds crying bleeps that reverbarate off the rusty walls. Things get more intense and strange with weird electronic moans and crys peering through black clouds of thick foggy electronic texture. This is like being trapped in a monochrome sonic abyss. Unique, original work from this pioneering Italian power electronics guru. The artists intentions make for a great read so be sure to check out the item page. Edition of 200 copies.
"S.F.A.G." is the deliberate and analogic destruction, in whole or in part, of the prepacked sound. As perpetrator of this work, I had the aim to annihilate the modular particles themselves and the objectives of the comformist music with its foolish institutions of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence in order to avoid the annulment of the personal creativity, security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to experimental-underground field. The morbid resonances of this humoral opus will floodlight the chemosurgical delitescence of eliminative genocide in order to knell the downfall of the present mass-media system" - Maurizio Bianchi.
Originally released as a private tape in 1981 which was only available through private contact with Maurizio Bianchi, SFAG was a psycho-specular piece to the more widely-known 'Symphony for a Genocide', sounding significantly different from it. This Mirror Tapes reissue corresponds with the deleted CD reissue by Tegal Records in 1994, presented on analogue tape format again for the first time since the 1980s tape editions.
