Announcing the release of the debut single ‘Champion’ out on 11th October on KIDS Records (The Wombats/Band of Horses/The Whip/Kyte), the charismatic Clement Marfo is proving to be one of the hottest new talents to hit the British scene in recent years...and we’re more than a little excited.
Hailing from Kingston, South-West London, Clement Marfo has established himself as one of a few truly eclectic artists, making waves on the underground, but with true mainstream potential. Accompanied by his comrades, The Frontline, a six-piece band also from the south side, each member brings an individual element of variety, and as a collective they mesh together their refreshingly unique style of lyrical delivery and musical diversity.
Loosely described as Hip-Hop Alternative Pop, Clement Marfo & The Frontline reflect a kaleidoscope of influences from Jay-Z to Daft Punk and N.E.R.D. to Plan B (who they recently toured with). It’s a sound that’s winning them fans up & down the country.
Listening to new single, ‘Champion’, with its big beat sensibilities and band driven energy, the vocals maintain a relentless, steady pace, throwing out big instrumental sounds ridden by trumpets evoking the spirit of determination and victory. This track will have you punching the air and dipping from side to side like David Haye in the ring.
