M.I.A. - XXXO

I thought that last MIA album was pretty cack on the whole but this one was deffoes one of the better moments. It's hugely commercial sounding, not really about anything at all and, objectively, total fluff in comparison to her earlier tunes but I can't help but like it in any case. What I thought was kind of weird about it is that the early version doing the rounds had Jay-Z phoning in one of those guest spots that he's been specialising in in recent years which you'd think'd be a selling point worth keeping hold of? Apparently not. Remixes then: Riton = Shiton, SBTRKT = NTVRYGD, Blaqstarr = Wackstarr. Still, the lead's a real guilty pleasure..
