A quite insular, glacial slice of melancholy wrapped up in the hair of seven yaks and numerous trinkets.....oh wait a minute that's summat else. This single touches areas that others can only dream about. It's a love story spun out of control. It's a stomping track that doesn't outstay it's welcome. It's quite banging and the rhymes are pretty sweet. Its so urban it made me want to get a hoody and go menacing old people. Which probably isnt the message that Mr. Le Sac is trying to convey. It just has that "edgyness" that will annoy any one who reads the Daily Mail and delight wiggaz everywhere. Side B is a remixed by Does It Offend You Yeah? and it's even more stomping and upbeat. Nice single, shame about the dong....
· Alt pop duo team up with enchanting US songbird Kid
A in a giant leap towards mainstream daytime radio
play.
· ‘Cauliflower’, a seductively twisted lullaby,
idiosyncratically marries Pip’s now iconic Essex drawl
with Kid A’s angelic Virginian tones. Think Minnie
Riperton meets Bob Dylan… in a boxing ring.
· Dan softens his trademark staccato beats to take this
record beyond specialist radio support.
· Top remixes from Does it Offend You, Yeah? (electro),
Telepathé (shoegaze), Mark E (Balearic) and PRDCTV(IDM).
