OU EST LE SWIMMING POOL ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM Ou Est Le Swimming Pool would like to confirm that their debut album, ‘The Golden Year’ will be released, worldwide on 3rd October 2010 (4th October physically). After speaking with the late Charles Haddon's family, remaining band members Joe Hutchinson and Caan Capan have decided to proceed with the original schedule for the release of the record they planned with Charles. In further accordance with Charles and the band's wishes, the album will be followed by the single ‘The Key’ on 10th October.' Joe and Caan would like to thank everyone for their incredible support and best wishes during this extremely difficult time and ask that their privacy now be respected whilst they take some time away.
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool herald from London’s musical hotbed, Camden Town. The band’s sound has been moulded and infused by the area’s rich musical tapestry and social setting, plus a firm nod to the keyboard authenticity of the late 1970’s new wave and early 80’s electro. Formed in 2008 in the North London borough the band featured the late Charles Haddon (ex The Daze) (vocals), Joe Hutchinson (Keyboards) and Caan Capan (Vocals)The bands debut album “The Golden Year” will be released on 3rd October 2010 with single “The Key” on the 10th October 2010. “The Golden Year” was produced by Haddon and co-writer / producer Anders Kallmark. It features the band’s 3 singles to date: the infectious radio mugging anthem and an intricately constructed festival favourite “Dance The Way I Feel”, “Jacksons Last Stand” and “These New Knights”.The band has received consistent support from Nick Grimshaw and Zane Lowe at Radio 1 and Eddy Temple Morris at XFM. The band has developed a strong base and reputation overseas, with Top 20 success in a number of territories. As a result they have made club and festival appearances across Europe. Recent successful UK festival appearances have included Glastonbury, Wakestock, Boardmasters, Bestival. This has been backed-up by high profile support slots with La Roux and Example.
