Back in 1997 Saint Etienne addressed their quintessentially British typecasting by writing an album full of songs about a fantasy US of A, recording it in Sweden and making videos in Havana. The resulting album, Good Humor (named after the US ice cream company – the US Lyons Maid) is timeless pop that is full of possibilities. It is home to Top 30 hits Sylvie (number 12) and The Bad Photographer (number 27), the album itself reached number 18 on its release in 1998. The album has now been remastered by the band and expanded to two discs. The 15 bonus tracks on CD2 include a previously unreleased tracks and many very rare cuts from the era. This new version comes in luxury Deluxe Edition packaging with a booklet featuring sleevenotes by Gail O’Hara and Douglas Coupland and lots of previously unseen photographs.
