M.M and K.Shea return with their first ever 7" single and damn! it's a crazy mofo! I've always been mad keen on the shit these guys put out but this one's a next level, must have, mad as eggs limited bad boy. Oh, and it's Esp-Disk's first ever 7" single release too so i guess that makes it ultra collectible. If you know anything about Talibam! you'll know that it's not really worth me trying to explain the music contained within these seven inches of pure wax. I'd be a fool for trying and you'd be fool for listening to me. There's no obvious reference points other than the duo themselves or maybe (on this occasion) A.p.a.t.t but i can tell you that we are treated to a rare dose of vocal-ism from the lads and what some may consider to be a consist song idea, as opposed to a wildly freeform party jazz assault. This is as close to a pop as M.M and K.Shea's will ever get so enjoy the moment of blissful R&B madness and respect the skills on display. I kiss both yo face.
Ultra-limited-edition 7-inch co-released by ESP Disk and Electric Cowbell. This historic item not only marks Talibam's first-ever
single after 19 previous records, but is also ESP's first single in their legendary 40+ years as a vanguard label. Side A's 'Cruisin
the Cooke Isle' and side B's 'Cosmic Attidude' are ready for DJ spins on Milano fashion runways, in Brooklyn punk basements,
or at hot tub parties from Vegas to Tibet. “Cosmoplitude” is a transcendent, compassionate cosmic attitude emanating from
and permeating through everything -- space/places/animals/stimuli/desires/gut feelings. If you can catch on to the cosmop, the
obstacle course of notated expectations, shifting brightness and energy standards, daily costume changes, uber-media-mind-
chip commentary, and cultural/political flux will all suddenly transform into an inspired/extinguished altered state of disjointed
iconic impressions giving birth to positive urban countenance and lavish peace.
