i'm quite alarmed that no-one has reviewed this yet. i've seen a lot written about it on that big thing we call the internet - some good, some bad. so its good that i can finally get an opinion of my own. well on first listen i think its very good - taking the complex avant rock of gastr del sol and matching it with arthur russell style disco and r&b moves that are so stuttery and ever so slightly unsure of themselves in style that they could only come from the mind of a white man.
it will probably take a bit of getting used to for some people but thats what i like about it. kind of like a modern day talking heads that have soaked up the influence of the chicago based math rock bands and done a lot of listening to john cale.
Dirty Projectors release a definitive 2 x CD deluxe
set of last year’s Bitte Orca album.
To bookend a great summer for Dirty Projectors,

the Barbican in London, and collaborating with
Bjork, Domino now release the definitive version of
‘Bitte Orca’.
The second disk features never before released
