I'm sure you must know the score with these by now.. Pure throwback shoegazey pop with token electronic bells on. 'Heart Is Strange' is probably the clubbiest thing I've heard them do, though I think Pitchfork are going a tad over the top (quelle surprise) in declaring it a 'banger'. On t'other side you gets your White Sea remix of 'Dust Devil' which sounds pretty much like it could just be one of their normal songs but with the vocals chopped up a bit. You might have noticed that I'm having trouble being in any way inspired by this.

Described by Pitchfork as “a marvellous club
banger”, this is the second single to be released
from School Of Seven Bells' critically acclaimed
sophomore album 'Disconnect From Desire'.

First single ‘Windstorm’ was A-listed at both
6Music and Xfm, and ‘Heart Is Strange’ looks set
to take the band to even dizzier heights.

School Of Seven Bells' sound has been compared
to that of The Cure, Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins and
New Order to name but a few, but with a distinct
and current twist.

B-sides include a mix by techno producer of the
moment Pantha du Prince, as well as offerings
from hip US electronic duo Phantogram who try
their hand at ‘I L U’ and a remix of ‘Dust Devil’ by
the California-based White Sea.
