Anders Ilar - Stories of Old

After success on labels such as Level (Kompakt), Narita, Echocord, Audio.nl, and Shitkatapult, Sweden’s Anders Ilar releases his newest artist album on Portland Oregon-based label Yard. These tracks are handpicked and sequenced by Anders and label owner Yard, focusing on deeper tracks, drawn together by their mystical nature. Deep introspective cuts such as ‘Arcturus’ and ‘Heliopause’ are put back-to-back with dancefloor destroyers such as ‘Cries Of The Wilderness’. The highlight track, ‘Unconditional Surrender’, is given the remix treatment by two contemporaries, Fabric / Global Underground star Adam Johnson, and Yard, who each contribute beat workouts that are honed to dancefloor perfection. ‘Stories Of Old’ finds Anders Ilar in a deep mood, discovering unturned rocks and ancient melodies that harken back to the halycion days of electronica and techno itself.
