Dub Syndicate - The Royal Variety Show (The Best Of Dub Syndicate)

The Royal Variety Show (The Best Of Dub Syndicate) by Dub Syndicate

Huge 28 track retrospective spanning the entire career of the mighty Dub Syndicate, with Adrian Sherwood and Style Scott at the controls. Features many rare and long-unavailable tracks, with vocalists including Lee Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Horace Andy, and more. On-U Sound's premier dub outfit is a name synonymous with the label from its inception. Emerging from the early Creation Rebel, Dub Syndicate is centered around drummer Style Scott, who is also the rhythm force of The Roots Radics, the number one Jamaican session and live band for deep roots music. Members of The Roots Radics frequently join Dub Syndicate, as do other On-U Sound players and singers, including Lee Perry, who has recorded two albums with the band. Exploring ambient and electro dub from the start on 1982’s seminal ‘Pounding System’ album, Dub Syndicate has, in various forms, continually been touring and making records right up to the present day.
