YO! Corrosion Of Conformity!!! There's a name I ain't heard recently. Well, it would appear that the lads that make up the classic 'Animosity' era of COC (Mike Dean, Woodroe Weatherman, Reed Mullin) have decided to get their shit together and rock some tracks for the kids (or whoever is left that wants to hear them. That'll be me...and maybe some other folks...). So, this is an exclusive limited pressing of new tune 'Your Tomorrow' which comes in two parts, both of which are very good. Relatively lo-fi production is my only gripe with this little baby, other than that it's business as usual: killer riffs, an Ozzy-esque delivery and some killer dynamics make for awesome listening. OK, so you know it's gonna be a little throw back but don't let that worry you as this pisses on the majority of new metal releases from the Southern Lord stable of late. Man I'm loving the hook riff on this bad boi...on the B-side they totally labour the slow riff with awesome head nodding results...fucking sweet work lads. Side note: if you've not heard COC's cover of 'Lord Of This World' from the Black Sabbath tribute LP 'Nativity In Black' then you should go check it out. Best Sabbath cover ever...

LIMITED STOCK - ONE OFF PRESSING! When Corrosion of Conformity got rid of their frontman/singer and became a three-piece with bassist Mike Dean handling vocal duties, they released the ground breaking crossover masterpiece: Animosity and hit the road. Their blend of punk rock aesthetic combined with aggressive metallic power blew every one away and lay the groundwork for countless bands to come. The legacy of C.O.C. has more depth and longevity than more bands can even come close to claiming. While they have changed line-up and style many times over the last 25+ years they have consistently remained vital, relevant and most of all HEAVY. Over the course of 2010 the original 3 piece "Animosity-era" lineup (Mike Dean, Woodroe Weatherman, Reed Mullin) decided to reconvene and tear shit up. It goes without saying that Southern Lord is beyond excitement to be releasing the very first recordings. The 7 inch features an exclusive new song: Your Tomorrow (Parts 1&2) and is released on super heavy vinyl (like a dinner plate). Exclusive artwork by John Moore.
