Ninja Tune XX by Various

Ninja Tune are celebrating their 20th birthday in fine style with a whole ton of fancy goods, one of which is a monster of a 12" which kicks off with Two Fingers 'Fools Rhythm' - a super gnarly, heavy, gritty dubstepper with buzzing synths and a slowed down ravey edge. I can easily see this doing the business on the dancefloor. Cut to The Bug with 'Tune In (Version)' which is pretty much another (instrumental) version on the brilliant 'Poison Dart' track he did with Warrior Queen. Needless to say it's bloody brilliant with huge club-friendly breakdown and layer upon layer of mind frazzling effects. I could listen to this forever! Two Zomby tracks on the flip are the icing on the cake with 'The Forest' being a delicious example of the warmer sound he's been doing recently, still those classy bleeps are still there. 'Orchid' follows his formula which really is no bad thing. Then Daedelus fragments Emika's 'Drop The Other' into a thousand little pieces.

· Part of a set of major releases to mark Ninja Tune’s 20th anniversary.

· Series of 12”s that feature brand new tracks from Toddla T & Ms Dynamite, The Bug, Diplo, Zomby, Amon Tobin, DELS, Shuttle and more, and remixes from Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Mark Pritchard, Micachu, Gaslamp Killer amongst others.
