We've been fortunate to score some copies of this wicked tape of total post industrial analogue synthesizer heaven. Anyone that picked up the LP will know what to expect; futuristic, dark, raw electronics that have benefited for yee good old tape saturation. This really is fantastic malfunctioning sci-fi, that sounds like it was created in some bunker laboratory on Mars. This really takes me back to a golden age in electronic music and is everything I love about early synth pop, electro, techno, New beat... blah blah blah. Grab one while you can and watch out for those Dalek's!!! Retailing at £6.66.
Further ferric fronds from the archive of Roehampton's minimal synth canoodler Mr. Maxted...this material is gathered from the same period as his debut LP 'Lives & Privacy (94-89) plus one new track 'I'm Having A Breakdown'...there's an edition of 100 cassettes for those born with worn tapeheads plus a full digital one...Mordant Music will continue to excavate Maxted's hidden spools well into 2011 and can promise a dearth of pristine ambient material to compliment these sullied synth-pop emissions...as ever the sound quality of these selections is pleasantly variable due to the blinding nature of life before soft synths...BM
