These guys seem to have been quite hotly tipped. I know I've heard them before but prior to sticking this on I didn't have much idea of what they sounded like, which isn't usually a good sign. Now I've stuck it on I can see why: despite the fact that - compared to much of your modern guitar-y indie rock - it's of a high quality, it's also pretty unmemorable. 'Floating Vibes' certainly passes by enjoyably enough but sadly it's doesn't leave a huge impression once it's over. Maybe I'm probably being too harsh. 'Twin Peaks' on the flip is remixed by Allen Bickle (apparently of quality metal-types Baroness) and it's largely based around a tidily distorted and prominent bassline, making me think of a slightly danced-up Death From Above 1979. I'd ignore this review if I was you, it's just occurred to me that I have no idea what I'm talking about.
Limited to 1000 worldwide. Only 300 available for Europe.
A1. Floating Vibes B1. Twin Peaks (Allen Blickle of Baroness remix)
