When did Of Montreal get so big? I'm not entirely sure what happened to make 'em as popular. It can't just be that the sister of Beyonce is a big fan. There's got to be more to it than that? well if you plunder the depths of their back catalogue you'll find some choice morsels (including the single I released knocking on 10 years ago which was smart). The last album pooed me out a bit though. So what's False Priest like? Well it's more of the same Prince influenced wonky kids 60's pop which is ludicrously catchy and ever so slightly annoying at the same time. On second listen it's not bothering me as much it did first listen which is a good sign. The songs are still all over the shop with seemingly random bits of music appearing here and there but it's all in the style of Of Montreal's quirky pop. Did you see them on that Gabba Gabba episode? Thee's a whole album full of kids party tunes here!

· The album also marks the return of organic
instruments as live drums, strings and pianos
eschew the midi sounds and sequencers of
previous albums.
· The album features intricate packaging – including

Barnes and Gemini Tactics.
· LP on 180 gram vinyl in double-gatefold jacket.
