We managed to score a handful of these 3" beasts all packaged in a strung up box which includes a little insert and a negative. Tasty! There's also a 3" CD in there to keep you music fans happy! This sees David on less familiar territory as he's performing with Polish art jazz ensemble Forces Mobiles! Yowzers. Didn't see that one coming eh? So imagine David's brand of ambience and lushess being assaulted by clarinet, violin, piano and percussion all played freely. The opener is lovely.... It really works with the clarinet over David's lush tones. 'Backseat Drugs' is a bit freer with some free jazz happening all over the shop. Overall it's an interesting release which not many of you will here as there's only 60!
"Improvisations for Cancer" is the recording of a collaborative effort between ambient artist David Tagg and Polish improv group Forces Mobiles. The 4 tracks on this disc dance between melodic free jazz and dark ambience whilst maintaining a running narrative of sorts. Gloomy in places but hopeful in others; this is a challenging but highly rewarding listen. David Tagg runs the Install label along side Brian Grainger.
Limited to just 60 copies, this 3" CDr disc is packaged inside a small box with stickered artwork and tied with string. Each copy comes with a unique photographic negative and a hand numbered textured paper insert.
