I never thought I'd be reviewing Psychic TV, Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti records all in the same session. Surely an act of synchronicity. When Genesis' vocals kick in on 'Alien Brain' he sounds rather disturbingly like Perry Farrell, things meander for a bit until it goes full-on psychedelic rock. The brain theme continues on the other side with a worthy interpretation of Funkadelic classic 'Maggot Brain' with full on wah-wah action. Limited jobbie in lovely sleeve on gorgeous pink/red/white marble vinyl.
A companion record to PTV's last album,Mr. Alien Brain vs The Skinwalkers,this studio recorded double A-sided 12" single features two long,powerful,psychedelic pieces,culminating in a wild and intense interpretation of Maggot Brain. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge's lyrics and vocal performance combined with the bands stratospheric rocking make for a mind-blowing experience which is highly recommended.
