White Noise Sound - White Noise Sound

White Noise Sound by White Noise Sound

The 6 members of White Noise sound assembled in Swansea, Wales in 2006 and made the conscious decision to shut themselves off from the local scene in favour of conjuring their own particular Wall of sound, at once relentlessly pulsating and lissed out. The band quickly began to incite label and media attention with their white label promotional demos, which began to receive airplay in the UK from the likes of Steve Lamacq and BBC Radio 1. "White Noise Sound" is the eponymous debut from the Swansea / Cardiff, Wales-based sextet. Completed with the help of Pete Kember (Spacemen 3, Spectrum and E.A.R) and magician Cian Ciaran (Super Furry Animals), the album is the realization of a band conjuring their own particular wall-of-sound - at once relentlessly pulsating and blissed-out. The band had honed their craft across the UK and through Germany where they supported the likes of The Warlocks, Spectrum, Mark Gardener (Ride) and the Super Furry Animals, and shared the stage with members of Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized. White Noise Sound is a psychedelic dream-piece. It will be available on CD and PURPLE VINYL, ltd. edition of 700. The LP comes with an alternative cover. "A band I've had the pleasure of watching... where their sound is bigger than the venue. A bright racket indeed." - Bethan Elfyn / BBC RADIO 1  //  "...feedback-drenched songs recalling... The Velvet Underground, this is totally stoned rock at its best. WALL TO WALL NOISE, the tracks seemed destined to go on forever. Slip on some shades, knock back the whiskey and scream." BUZZ MAGAZINE  //  ".. reminiscent of Fripp and Eno... E.A.R... the Velvets and Can.. The band part waves of their own and build upon the bones of harmony and melody." PSYCHEDELIC VELVEETA  //  "[A] musical landscape driven by mesmerising guitars, subtle vocals and endless ear smashing feedback... truly superb..."GLASSWERK  //  "...filtered synths that drip viscously, like paint running down a massive canvas... [White Noise Sound move] from unsettling and right through into the outer limits. Had Syd Barrett remained at the helm, perhaps Pink Floyd would be creating music akin to this these days. A sprawling mass of ear-piercing noise, floating vocals and controlled distortion. You are enveloped by the feedback-drenched sounds..." ANGRY APE.com //
