Through his time as front-man of The Smiths and subsequent enduring solo career, Morrissey has cemented his place as one of the true UK music icons. This position has ensured him a large, dedicated fanbase and significant commercial success: to date he has notched up 33 Top-40 solo singles (with 10 in the Top 10) and 11 Top-10 solo albums. This lasting success has not been limited to his early career either, with his last three albums charting No. 2, No 1 and No 3 respectively.

To commence an upcoming album reissue campaign, Morrissey’s second ever single, ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’, will be re-released on eCD, two 7’’s and digital download. Originally released in June 1988 and taken from his No 1 debut album ‘Viva Hate’, ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’ reached No 9 in the charts and has been chosen by Morrissey himself for the re-release, with the original track now remastered and appearing alongside a feast of bonus material. The eCD format features ‘November The Second’ as its b-side (a rare alternate version of his single ‘November Spawned A Monster’) as well as the original promo video and a previously unreleased TOTP performance of Everyday Is Like Sunday. On the first accompanying 7’’ format, the single has as its b-side a previously unreleased cover version of the New York Dolls track ‘Trash’, whilst, the second 7’’ format brings together ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’ and a previously unreleased version of the a-side taken from a Hollywood Bowl show on 8th June 2007 – in all a set of highly desirable items for Morrissey fans!
