Fan Death is Dandilion Wind Opaine and Marta Jaciubek-McKeever, a pair every bit as exotic as their names. Based in Vancouver, they’re the sultry disco duo who made quite an impression when they sashayed onto the scene a little under two years ago with their debut single ‘Veronica’s Veil’. Now, on their debut album ‘Womb of Dreams’, Dandilion and Marta unveil 11 baroque gems that touch on noirish disco and synth-pop and draw the listener into Fan Death’s dreamy world of star-gazing, dressing-up and make-believe. According to Marta, with Fan Death they wanted to make music that recalled the classic electronic pop songs of Depeche Mode, OMD, Alphaville, Human League and Pet Shop Boys.
