FF>> by Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti

5...according to our on Thu 12 Aug, 2010.

Man, I've got serious Ariel Pink ignorance. I've only just got into Haunted Graffiti recently thanks to the genius of 'Before Today'. It's been on constant rotation all summer and is making me very happy but I fear if I duck into the back catalog I'll end up spending a fucking fortune hoovering up all his releases and I won't listen to anything else for the rest of the year. Anyway, enough of my problems. 'FF>>' is the third installment of previously out-of-print and rare Ariel Pink recordings dating back to the beginning of the noughties and sees our man experimenting with all sorts of sounds and ideas with pure A.D.D. enthusiasm. Almost everything here is either beautiful, awesome, crazy or super stoopid which is pretty much everything you can ask for from a record. The manz got more ideas than I've had hot baths and he makes everyone else look like a dick for bothering to commit their dumb-ass ideas to tape. Wanna hear 'Before Today' in it's rawest form? Well, look no further my friend... Look no further. This guy is the party Lou Barlow and I love him for it. And so it begins.... p.s. check out The Samps LP, it's mint.

FF> the third installment in the Haunted Graffiti series of home-recorded material, recorded in 2000-2001 and originally issued in various cd & cassette forms as a companion album to ‘Scared Famous’, ‘FF’ is now available for the first time ever on (double) vinyl &  includes classics such as “Beefbud”, “Are You Gonna Look After My Boys?”, and “Howling At The Moon”, the latter being one of three tracks on the lp co-written by mentor R. Stevie Moore.
