Here is Gazza's 3rd album proper released on his own Low Point label. It was recorded using guitar, harmonium, cymbals, chimes, dictaphone and radio. So there's more of a colourful template on this release to previous Hardwick numbers. You got 2 tracks for your sins. The 1st is a long wobbly sounding drone piece which is reasonably busy and ever so slightly psychedelic. In fact parts of it remind me of Spacemen 3 before it goes into more familiar SOTL territory later on in the track. In fact there's a lot of different parts in there all wedges in making this quite different to other Hardwick compositions. The 2nd track oozes warmth and familiarity as it's smothered in deep drones and tones. I like it! I've heard a lot of drone records over the last year or 2 and quite a few are a much of a muchness but there's some interesting ideas here and enough goodness to set it apart from the chaff. Nice 'un.
