These guys are pretty swell. They write songs that remind me of Guided By Voices or The Go-Betweens. It's scratchy lo-fi that's is amazingly catchy and heartfelt. There are an awesome 30 songs on this tape, and every one of them is a sliver of light in a world of darkness that's populated by stubby bald men with type writers for eyes. There are some decent cover versions on this album, from the haunting rendering of Fleetwood Macs 'I Don't Wanna Know' to a twattish cover version of Van Halen's 'Jump'. All the greats. I reckon these guys are musical geniuses. The hand drawn comic book sleeve is rather fetching too. The songs by Mazes are aceand the covers are good. I reckon this is a tape based winner of massive charm and winning humor.
