Aside from the completely unpronounceable name the thing I really like about this is that it comes with a small but informative insert. Wouldn't it be good if people came with them? You could check their insert and see if you're wasting your breathe talking to them or not. It would save loads of time and potential future life badness. The chaps real name is Garret Anton Harkawik (thank you small but informative insert) and you get 10 tracks of pretty crazy cut up lunacy on the album (and a bonus CD of it 'n all!). Strange vocal samples and weird bits of music all looped up and pasted together in a surprisingly melodic fashion. It's kinda hard to know what's going on cos it's pretty bonkers but if you like weird disco and pop spliced together in an unearthly yet endearing way then this has got your name written all over it. Just 327 physical copies for all mankind.
Garret Anton Harkawik is obsessed with the potential of the smallest musical unit; his songs are mosaic mandalas, thoroughly shattered tracks reassembled via Apple’s Final Cut Pro into calculated, impeccably-arranged mantras. His samples are not used as reference points but rather as literal building blocks pieced together with his digital ï¬nesse as mortarl. Macroscopic plastic surgery performed with a razor-sharp digital blade, the most transient sound captured and slapchopped with deceiving ease. What results is impossibly melodic and rhythmically uniï¬ed: the synthesis of dozens of skipping CDs dramatically interlocking like jigsaw pieces. Comes with a CDR of the album tracks. 327 black LPs in DIY jackets with a small but informative insert.
