Manchester's Gnod have been really hitting the airwaves lately with a string of riff-heavy, krauty explosions of sound. This is certainly no exception, offering up two perfectly bumping side-long tracks. The A-side of this one is a live set from 2007 with guest vocalist Mike O'Neill reading off strings of dystopian poetry with the band absolutely pummeling the drums behind him. Strange synth blurts and guitars vibrating louder and louder. Drifting in and out of noise nothings and endlessly building and destroying hollow brick rhythms. The B-side is the full-on extended version of their track from the split 7" with Bong from last year. Here it's given it's full room to roam. Shapeshifting and gliding on a more droney ground. Heavy pulsing rumbles and smoky water piano shimmers. Edition of 50 hand-painted tapes and an insert, in wrap around construction paper sleeves, each painted and stuck with a different collage cutout.
