Writing reviews when you're hungover is not the easiest of things to do. In fact it's quite tricky. When you're writing reviews you want your head to be full of eloquence and interesting thoughts.... not cotton wool like mine currently is. Fortunately this CD is proper lovely and it's totally soothing me out. You've probably heard of Part Timer from his releases on Mobeer/ Moteer, Flau and Under The Spire as well as countless appearances and mixes on loads of other cool labels. This features Heidi Elva on vocals and harp whilst Aaron Martin hangs about doing his string theory. It's very lovely indeed! Micro electronics, crackles and fizzles with a bit of a toytown feel (at times) smothered in delightful vocals and strings. I can hear elements of Empress and Low in there and if you're a fan of such subduedness then you'll like this. It's 7 tracks in total with the original and 6 mixes by Orla Wren, Green Kingdom, Children of The Wave and more. Delightful!!
The original track features Heidi Elva on vocals and harp, with Aaron Martin supplying strings.
