Sleigh Bells - Tell Em

Tell Em by Sleigh Bells

3...according to our on Thu 12 Aug, 2010.

Have you ever seen a badger in tight leather trousers, wearing a monicle and waistcoat, burping along to the theme from "The Waltons"? I have and I can say with all honesty that if ever such a glorious image falls across my eyeballs again I will denounce my love for Satan and all his little wizards. This single from Sleigh Bells is quite hard to nail down. It sounds like a souped-up Missy Elliot or something. It has jarring guitar parts and massive beats. Not a bad record for this vicinity...

Tell ‘Em is the first single release from Sleigh Bells debut ‘Treats’, which was released physically in the UK  by Columbia/Mom+Pop Music on 9th August. Made up of Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller, their debut album ‘Treats’ has established this Brooklyn duo as one of the most talked about bands of 2010. Having created an incredible buzz online, Sleigh Bells have been touring, playing blistering live shows that marry pop hooks with brutal, hip-hop-inflected beats and extreme noise to the point of distortion.
