These Newcastle guys have been amassing an impressive discography since their inception in 1996 with releases on Hospital Productions, Turgid Animal, Blackest Rainbow, DNT, Low Point, Heavy Tapes etc. They open with 'Golden Sailor Afraid' which is an extended bleak drone number with distant metallic percussion and all round doomy, foggy vibes. 'Three Generations Of Stale Air' is super spooked with ghostly howls, machine gun like hits and nightmarish ghoul sounds. Kinda reminds me of some Wolf Eyes and Dead Machines stuff. 'Only Steam Left' goes further into the zone with ritual like cymbal hits and sinister atmospherics. They've saved the best until last with some fine drones and euphoric key changes with all sorts of weird and wonky twanging and samples lifting the track to new heights of sonic freedom. Edition of 100 copies in ejector case. Super smashing great.
