This guy plays in a couple of doom metal bands, namely Tecumseh and Trees. For this disc he's hung up his doom hat and is wearing his special drone hat. Oh this is doing it for me, just the sort of pure tonal heavy drone I like to trance out to in the evening. There are two long pieces: 'Upwards/ Skywards' and 'In Light'. The vibrations of the first are massaging my cerebral cortex into a transcendental state where astral projection may be possible. The second track is equally as powerful with slowly evolving layers. I really loves this a lot. Anyone searching for weighty analogue minimalism should look no further. Recommended for followers of Phill Niblock, Eleh, Eliane Radigue, Greg Davis etc. Comes in lovely minimal textured screed gatefold wallet with artwork by Garek Druss. Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is the debut solo release by john krausbauer. he has been a fixture on the portland oregon improvised and experimental music scene (in groups like tecumseh, aures and more...) john's solo music is the electronic compliment to aures' power acoustic static drone minimalism. here we have 2 different deep weighty shimmering views of one eternal drone vista. subtle oscillations reveal infinite details. play this in a room, on speakers, loud & let your ears explore the sonic space...
