Onra - The One ft T3

Really liked Onra's LP 'Long Distance'. It kinda came out of nowhere for me and has slowly crept it's into my mind pipes. 12" single 'The One' is a highlight from said LP with it's mashing of future funk, hip-hop and all that glo-fi dance pop stuff. What I didn't noticed was that the featured MC is T3 of Slum Village, now there's an MC I've not heard spitting in a while. So yeah, just as good as it was the first time i heard it and perfect way to savior those last moments of reasonable weather before the northern shitstorm of a winter takes hold and everyone retreats into glacial atmospherics. The bonus material comes in the form of two Waajeed remixes (plus the instrumental for anyone who wants a go at freestyling over the top) on the B-side. Both mixes sound sweet and are recommended to both Onra and Waajeed fans alike. Get in.

The second 12” from Onra’s slinky low end future-funk-hop album ‘Long Distance’ comes with two extra special Detroit workouts courtesy of Waajeed, plus a bonus new tune and the original instrumental of ‘The One’. Six tracks, limited to 300 copies and no digital release.
