Franck Vigroux - Triste Lilas

Triste Lilas by Franck Vigroux

The final volume of the Lilas trilogy, "Triste Lilas" is the story of a fugitive lost in a blood-red continent. Composer/performer Franck Vigroux, who tampers with electronics and turntables on this one, has been featured on the BBC and French National Radio for his pioneering avant-garde work on guitar, sampler, and turntables. Triste Lilas is an unparallelled new music and modern composition concept album, made up partially of spoken journal entries in both French and English, part by eerie improvised backgrounds and electronic manipulations. Vigroux utilizes unusual instrumentation, including the harp of Hélène Breschand and the melting electric guitar tones of guest Marc Ducret.
