‘Sound Of The Police’ contains African and South American inspired music from around the world. It was construced for the first of Mochilla’s ‘Timeless’ concerts on February 1st, 2009. Cut Chemist had the privilege (his words) of performing this set opening for Mulatu Astatke on his first ever Los Angeles appearance. The rehearsal was recorded using the best parts of multiple takes. The live mix on this release was performed using one Technics turntable, one Rane mixer, and a Boss RC50 loop pedal. Only original 7-inch and LP pressings were used.
