Burn those guitars kids >>>> Synthesizers are all the rage! Heheh it seems there is a new wave of synthesizer music happening at the moment. I must admit I've not heard of this guy before but looking at his discography he's been busy with a ton of underground releases. Here he is totally in New Age mode, another style that seems to have been rejuvenated. I'm digging the computer graphics retro New Age cosmic cyber imagery on the sleeve and it really suits the music. In many ways it harks back to early ambient and chill-out material but sort of has a feel of all the so called hypnagogic pop stuff that's been coming out recently. I'd recommend this if you like Oneohtrix Point Never, Dolphins Into The Future, Mark McGuire and also classic stuff like Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream. It's total tranquil gear to say the least. Some hot new releases coming from this Belgian label too: Stellar Om Source, Dolphins Into The Future, Natural Snow Buildings, Brother Raven. Definitely one to watch.
Josh Burke continues his endeavor into new age. With relaxing synths, and the occasional outbreak, the man behind Sky Limousine & the illustre Midnight Star Media cassette label, takes you to space and back in just over 30 minutes. There are faster, more layered tracks varied with bare, minimal, classical new age tracks. It makes the perfect mix and relaxing listening experience. Comes with Insert. Released in an edition of 330.
