I'm getting pretty obsessed with Olde English Spelling Bee and the characters that make it the righteous label that it is so I'm sorta kicking myself for missing out on Lynch's O.E.S.B. debut 'Orange You Glad'. Other than his awesome guitar playing on the Alex Bleeker and the Freaks LP I've not had much exposure to Mr. Lynch's style. Today is the day that changes all of that as I'm listening to new LP 'Mare' and I'm fully digging its spaced out jams and informed songwriting style. It begins with a fantastic number entitled 'Just Enough' that trades on eastern influences with guitars that sound like sitars and great indian raga tinged percussion. It's amazing! And from here things go from strength to strength with relaxed uber-posi jams taking me to the place I wanna be. It's very tranquil listening that's for sure! So, not only a great guitarist but also an awesome songwriter. I urge you to take the time to check this out, it's truly great stuff! Time to track down a copy of 'Orange You Glad'.... OOooh more copies just arrived :)

Second full-length album by Julian Lynch. Recorded in Madison, Wisconsin and Ridgewood, New Jersey in 2009 and the beginning of 2010. Download coupon included.
