Caribou (Manitoba) - Bowls (James Holden Mix)

James Holden has got his filthy mitts on Bowls by Caribou and he's done a massive long 11 minute mix to max it up. That's technically an 11 minute max in my book.... 'Bowls' features lots of tinkling of Tibetan bowls at the start... Dare I say there's a dash of Four Tet here with the tinkling of the bowls and the percussive beat. It's kicking actually. In fact I'm super enjoying it! Oh man... That's the A-side. I've got this 11 minute beast to listen to... Here goes! It's got large production with some phat sounding beats. There's some really cool percussion in this tune and mid way through it builds up and gets bigger with some crashing beats and some immense weird sounds cropping up really high in the mix. The bowls are still there as well if you're a fan of bowls. Holden does a fine job here... I'd say he's Holden his own....
