· ‘I Wanna Be Your Telephone’ is a sliver of skintight funk from Jamie Lidell’s new album ‘Compass’, which was released to glowing reviews from Metro, Q, Uncut, Mojo, Scotland on Sunday, Artrocker, DJ and The Times, with iDJ giving it Album Of The Month and a 10/10 rating.

· Available on limited 12” (250 copies), it comes backed with a remix by renowned DJ and producer Tiga, and a remix of album track ‘You Are Waking’ by Bill Youngman. The main version of the track also features a few familiar names, with Beck on guitar and Nikka Costa providing backing vocals.

· The ‘Compass’ album has been entered for the Mercury Prize, and the shortlist will be announced in July.
