Cubic Zirconia - Fuck Work

Fuck Work by Cubic Zirconia

Can’t get a job, don’t want a job, Fuck Work.

The Savant Guard, Brooklyn's little label with the big sound, comes roaring back with this Summer's irresponsibility anthem, FUCK WORK.

On their left field debut, Cubic Zirconia, a 4 headed genre-defying monster bred in NYC’s lower east side, effortlessly combine acid basslines, crisp pre-software percussion, and noisy guitar stabs with an all too relevant call to arms. Fuck Work? We're down.

Backing the brilliant original are a slew of remixes to keep you bouncing from the unemployment line to after hours. Eight of our favorite DJs and producers from both sides of the pond weigh in, offering something for every headphone and every bassbin this Summer.

On the limited edition vinyl, BBC radio taste-maker Andy George drops a killer wonky head nodder dripping with ravey innuendo, while Nacho Lovers draw from the early days of house in their Chicago inspired mix, filled with live drum rhythms and whistles galore. Los Angeles' DâM Funk smooths it out for the sneaker collectors with his Rhodes-drenched Summer sleeper, and Dekker & Johan provide a floor filling banger with stuttered cut-up vocals and a pummeling bass hook. The collectible 12” features cover art by downtown NYC’s go-to illustrator Mike 2600 and The Savant Guard’s trademark details.

The digital EP features four bonus remixes, all of which are made for the dance floor. Dances With White Girls flows like no other in his unforgettable tweaky rap filled version, Lord and Master’s Lord Warddd drops a cheeky and infectious distorted hands in the air rendition, Rene Goulet offers a sexy bottle service remix, and Proper Villains & Jubilee drop, it (um..) proper, with a big knee wobbler of divebomb basslines and ravey windups. We couldn’t be prouder.

Fuck work, buy records.
