36 - Hollow

36 is an unknown entity to me and i feel that shame you feel when you know you've neglected a decent artist. 'Hollow' is the full length follow up to 'Hypersona' and sees this mysterious creative bod crafting some enticing ambient sounds using soft synths and field recordings as his/her (?) primary tool. None threatening drones are the order of the day here, real relaxed to begin with before easing you into darker terrain with elements of unease and white noise creeping in as the tracks tick by. Now, i've been down with a pretty severe bug this week so returning to work to review records wasn't top of the list of things i wanted to be doing right now but these ambient sways are settling me down and i'm readjusting to the situation nicely. Thanks mysterious 36 guy! You're efficient ambient space drone is making me feel loads better.

"Hollow" is the 2nd studio album from 36 and continues the journey started by "Hypersona", delivering 13 tracks of new material.

Tracks such as "Hollow" and "Equassa" explore new sonic territory, featuring heavily processed guitar and vintage strings, drifting over the emotive soundscapes you've come to expect from the artist. Other tracks such as "Darkroom Distortion" and "Geiga" use turbulent sheets of white noise, alongside classical instruments to create an eerie, almost ghostlike quality.
