E. Gold feat. Alexis - Separate Our Hearts

Separate Our Hearts by E. Gold feat. Alexis

Fucking hell, have I got the new Kylie single here? Oh no - it's by E. Gold Ft. Alexis. Well thanks for this Angular. After the semi-incredible Cold Waves & Minimal electronics comp you throw this lame, plodding chart fodder into the market? So, the original is pretty throwaway but the Flatline mix gives the track that euphoric, pulsating Euro-electro edge that acts such arch-remixers Aeroplane or mercurial Swedes The Knife bring to the commercial table. The Horrors' Tom Furse version sounds like a Richard X remix from 6 years ago & is well boring. The last mix I can't even be arsed properly contemplating - it's by Ghosthunter and has zero spirit - well bastard futile. Ltd 10" only, I'd probably save yer cash for summat else though to be honest.

‘Separate Our Hearts’ is a one off collision between cryptic electronic duo E.Gold and Plus Ultra vocalist Alexis Mary (ex of The Violets).

· This perfect melancholic pop song began as an
instrumental influenced by early house records,
cold synth sounds, Bruton Library Music and
other forgotten treasures.

· Feeling it’s pop tendencies, E.Gold asked Alexis Mary
to provide a vocal, and together with legendary
producer Youth the track became a classic slice
of uplifting dance music.

· Pitchfork and No Pain In Pop are already huge
fans of the record, and the original mix is backed by
remixes from: Chris Flatline, Ghost Hunter
(whose remixes include These New Puritans) and
Tom Furse of The Horrors.

· Available as digital download and limited
edition vinyl 10” (500 copies only).
