Huminoida - Loves You E.P.

Loves You E.P. by Huminoida

4...according to our on Thu 10 Jun, 2010.

Business Lady at her cattiest will yowl & flick her tail at anything that sounds like doomy electro cabaret and meow "cyber Goth" in a fruity & simultaneously cutting manner, leaving us in fits of laughter or rages of inhuman fury, depending on who she's indiscriminately stuck her razor sharp claws into that particular week. Funny, she must be having a cat-nap whilst this is on. This 7" EP would fit in with some of the less bouncy, more austere sounding stuff on Enfant Terrible I reckon. They list their influences impeccably, and appear to straddle the line between graceful, restrained classicism & a sort of mild self-parody (see the sleeve, well 70's satanic kitsch) The music is very European, touching on piano torch song, brooding EBM & juddering, snaky electro/darkwave. The production is exemplary but I do have to take the the whole shebang with a little pinch of salt.

Huminoida is an electronic pop band operating near / in the triangle
of old-school synthpop, darkwave and sheer weirdness.
"Huminoida loves you EP" is the third 7" single from this solo project
of former Neuroactive vocalist K-K-

Although Huminoida makes music in the spirit & guts of wonderful synth pioneers
like Fad Gadget, Human League, Coil, Soft Cell, Foetus, Tangerine Dream,
Cluster, Suicide...etc, it's take on synthpop / krautrock is highly original,
following only it's own idiosyncratic logic.
