Archie Bronson Outfit - Hoola (House Of David Remix) / Hoola (Moscow Remix)

Hoola (House Of David Remix) / Hoola (Moscow Remix) by Archie Bronson Outfit

4...according to our on Thu 24 Jun, 2010.

Before hearing this I assumed that the Archie Bronson Outfit might be indie fops or horrid acoustic rock in the vein of sandal wearing, surf ponce Jack Johnson. Or a total pub rock band. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as one of my all time favourite bands are the amazing Ducks Deluxe. Archie Bronson are more like 80s wrestling film " No Holds Barred". Colourful and muscular and unwilling to be pinned to the canvas by a fat man in tight trunks. Across both 12"s there are about a million remixes on by such greats as House Of David and Rumpleforeskin. A strong song and colorful sleeve gets you major props from yours truly....

Archie Bronson go House crazy on their second single with two very limited edition remix 12”s.

•    ‘Hoola’ is the second single to be taken from the Archie’s Tim Goldsworthy produced album ‘Coconut’.
•    Across two separate 12”s, leading lights from the house & electronic music worlds were let loose to wreak havoc.
•    Taking the reigns for the first 12” Motor City Drum Ensemble transforms ‘Hoola’ into some proper House music, whilst the 6th Borough Project reworks the ‘Compass Point’ funk of album track ‘Chunk’ for the dancefloor.
•    We veer leftwards for the next 12”. On the A House Of David (you may not know the name, but you know the person) plays a brain bender.
•    Melding what sounds like two mixes into one seamlessly & with a lorra lorra bass, Moscow (previously known as Nightmoves) creates a nine minute+ stormer with his ‘Hoola’ mix.
•    Only 500 copies worldwide, 250 for the UK.
•    Full colour printed sleeve.
