Dead Wood - Slow Threat

Slow Threat by Dead Wood

Dead Wood is a chap called Adam Baker and the digipak for this new album is one of those eco recycled jobs. But inside there's a bit of tree bark (I think you'll find it's balsa wood?? - Brian) functioning as the insert. Make your mind up fella, kill 'em or save 'em but doing both is just confusing! I don't know if his music will do either but I'm sure many a plant would enjoy listening to his intriguing and unsettling soundworld, built from finely detailed drones which sound as though they come from quite a wide variety of sources, both instrumental and field recordingental. I'm particularly liking the one in the middle that sounds like someone's fashioned a primitive oboe from a giant tree (killing another one in the process) and is blowing themselves into a transcendental state. Oo-er missus.

Housed in an eco digipak, stickered front, veneer liner, and sprayed discs.Limited edition 100.
