Andrew Cedermark / Family Portrait - Split

This Underwater People's Records label seems to release a lot of Real Estate affiliated records. There's more than likely a great reason for this but I'm not gonna delve. I like the mystery and so should you! Andrew Cedermark used to be in Titus Andronicus and his 2 tracks on this ace little split 7" are pure psychedelic pop bursting with melody. It's very slackerish and lazy sounding with 'Hard Livin' being my track of choice with it's clicky drumstick business and ace vocal melodies. It's the business. The flipside is by Family Portrait with help from Real Estate folks and Julian Lunch (as it says in the press release by I reckon that's Julian Lynch). 'Super Cool' is more hazy psyche pop with loadsa phased guitars over a driving beat making you feel all spaced out. It's a cool single!
