High Frequency Bandwidth - Hell Fire And Brimstone

Malicious Damage presents Hell, Fire and Brimstone, the debut album by 2010 BAFTA nominees HFB. HFB are the chart-topping electronic pioneer Dr. Alex Paterson from the Orb and acclaimed producer/remixer/engineer Dom Beken, who has worked with David Bowie, Talvin Singh and Echo and the Bunnymen, to name but three.The album features the vocal dexterity of MOBO winning, UK hip-hop legend Funky DL and Bronx veteran Dynamax, of Afrika Bambaataa's Zulu Nation and Rhyme Syndicate fame. The resulting meeting of minds is a consummate blend of old-school hip hop and the kind of deep, atmospheric sonics one would expert from the good Dr. Paterson. Fans of the Cinematic Orchestra, Prefuse 73, Gorillaz and DJ Shadow will feel they’ve found the missing link. The pair cooked up their intoxicating cerebral stews from Dom’s studio - the old projection room at Ealing Studios, legendary home of classic British comedy, horror and war movies since the 1930s. Juliet Russell and Simone Niles appear on the track High Five Brother, and they also provided vocals for Damon Albarn's opera Monkey. HFB scored the soundtrack for the 70,000 + selling Playstation 3 game ‘PixelJunk Shooter’ which has just been nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Original Video Game Score category (winner TBA). Plus, the track Huge Fiery Ball was used on a viral campaign for Armadillo Scooterwear made by Dark Fibre, with Michael Bonvillian of Cloverfield and Lost fame as Director of Photography.
